Playing with my school.

I have been playing soccer for my school's soccer team since I am 9 years old. With this team I have traveled to many parts of the country, and to Puerto Rico. With all of the experience I have gained playing with state teams and my club, I have become one of the leaders of the group.

I attend Saint Thomas School, a very prestigious American school in Santo Domingo. In this school I have learned English, and French. I recently passed to 10th grade. During the four quarters of 9th grade, I was always part of the Honor and High Honor Roll. This year I got a 3.91 average GPA.

I aspire to have a future that involves basing my life on playing soccer. I want to break all of the expectations of the average Dominican soccer player, and play in another country from a young age. I have been practicing this sport since I am 4 years old, and I love it. This is my hobby, passion, and life. Being part of the National U 17 Dominican Team has made me realize that here I have no chance to make a living as a soccer player, and has increased my will to become a professional soccer player. Here you can see a picture of my Honor Roll Diploma, and my last report card.

Playing Abroad.

2009: Last summer, my uncle who lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan found a team for me to play in. This team is called TKO. They play in the Super Y-League. I played 7 games with the team. Furthermore, it was a good experience playing against American teams, that have a different way of playing than what I was used to see. I got three APD nominations, but due to the fact that I am not American, i could not attend.

2009:I also attended the Western Michigan University Camp. During that week, I got to be trained by the goalkeeper coach of the WM Broncos. Also, I met the goalkeeper of the team, and most of its players.

2006: I attended IMG summer camp for two weeks.

2007: I attended IMG summer camp for three weeks.

Escuela Bauger

Escuela Bauger

Escuela Bauger is the most organized and most winning club at youth level in the Dominican Republic. It practices in one of the best fields of the country, with the most experienced coaches in the country. Escuela Bauger was founded in 1986, and has not stopped since their foundation. Escuela Bauger gives it services from kids of 3-17 years old. It has a very broad experience traveling to countries like Spain, Panama, Costa Rica, Florida, and Argentina. You can say that it is the pioneer of soccer in this country. I have been playing in this academy since I am 9 years old, and I wouldn't have learned half of the things I have learned if I would not have been trained by my coach Jorge Bauger. On the picture up top, you can see the two main coaches of my academy. From left to right, Jorge Bauger, and Jorge Allen. Jorge Bauger is the coach I owe everything I learned as a goalkeeper. When I was 9 and barely knew how to put my gloves on, he taught me everything I know. All of his scoldings, and inspirational words have really helped me stand out as a goalkeeper in my country. In another note you're going to see all of the titles I have won with this academy. As you can see in the top right corner, this is me in a beach in 2006, when I was starting to goal-keep.

My Soccer Life.

Soccer has been my passion just since I was four years old. Breaking the normal habit of being attracted to baseball and basketball, soccer caught my attention since I first saw it in TV. I would start play soccer when I was 4, and started playing officially for my school when I was 8. I didn't start playing goalie then. I kept playing soccer as an outfield player, center defense. In my country, the best academy in the country is called Escuela Bauger which I joined when I was 8. It is kind of funny how I recall becoming a goalkeeper. We were playing a friendly game against another team, and the goalie of my team did not show up. I offered to go in goal, and I did a good job, ha ha. When the year 2007 started, was my year I officially started to train as a goalie. My coach, Jorge Bauger, Argentinian who played in the Ligue 2 of French as a goalkeeper, started to train me, and I know that at that time, when I wasn't that good, he believed I had the potential to become a good goalie. I remember perfectly my first game as a goalkeeper with my club. It was nerve-wrecking. My coach called me to play with the U-15, and at that time I was only 11. I was looking forward to that game so much, and to tell you the truth I had never been so nervous. I played the first half of that game, I did a pretty good job. Since that moment on, I fell in love with that position. This is my portfolio, and I am going to show you all of my achievements, good moments, and bad moments. Also, how I have grown as a player and fallen in love with the game.
